Square Upcycled Fiber Wrapped Macrame Wall Hanging
This square-shaped upcycled fiber-wrapped macrame would be a beautiful statement piece for any home! The neutral section features a variety of textures brought in using several knotting techniques. The tassels are hand-wrapped in an array of upcycled materials I found at local thrift stores. As I wrap the tassels, I’m always wondering about the previous owners of the fabrics I use and believe that their original memories are held within the fabrics. And I believe that by incorporating these fabrics into my work I am honoring their memories. With my wall hangings I hope to bring joy, color, and thoughtfulness to people’s living spaces and remind them of their own interconnectedness.
